Hello lovelies, today I thought I would show you how I created this smokey pink eye look.
For this particular look I used the Revolution Beyond Flawless eyeshadow palette. There are lots of pinks and purple shades in this palette so it was great for creating a smokey look with a pop of pink.
To start of the look I primed my eyelids using the freedom eyelid primer, I like to use this primer as it gives a good base and really helps the eyeshadow to stay on. As a base shadow I used the shade flawless all over my lid with the real techniques crease brush.
I then used the shade sand dune all over the lid, this is a mauve pink colour which is a nice colour to apply all over. In the outer third I applied some of the shade brunette, which is more of a browny mauve colour this shade blended together nicely with sand dune. For this part of the look I used the real techniques blending brush.
Using the same brush, after blending that through I then went in with a darker shade in the outer corner of my lid to darken the look up and make it a bit more smokey. For this is used a mix of bistre and blackest which are some of the darkest shades in this palette. You can really darken a look up with these shades so I went lightly first so I was able to build the colour up.
I then put some concealer through the middle and inner corner of my lid, this was so that when I added the shimmers shades i would get the best colour pay off and it helps the colour to stay on for longer. Once i’d blending the concealer in i used my finger and put the shade spice through the middle of my eyelid, this is a really gorgeous pink colour and it glistens on the eyelids when you’re in the sunlight.
In the inner corner of my eye I put a little bit of the shade mineral, this really brightens up the corner of the eye and i think completes the eyeshadow as it adds an extra glow.
After I’ve finished applying the eyeshadow I used my new 17 liquid eyeliner to create a cat eye which i think worked really nicely. The colour was very pigmented and it was easy to create the flick. For mascara I used the 17 VaVa Voom which gave my lashes a lift and gave them an extra curl as I used lash curlers before applying the mascara.
Let me know what you think of this look!
Thanks for reading 🙂
