Hello lovelies,
How are you? As it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow I wanted to share this look I created especially for it!
I don’t normally go this bold with my eyeshadow but I feel like going all out this time round.
To create this look I used the revolution newtrals 2 pallet as there are lots of pinks and reds within it.
Base
To start of I put a little bit of Becca primer on my eyelids. As I don’t wear foundation I thought this would be a good way to use it and it worked really well as a primer for my eyeshadow. After I let that set in I went in the lightest shade in this palette which is a very light pinky/cream shade and it makes a lovely base colour.
Builder Colour
Next I added this peachy pink that I used to create my last eye look which was a Peachy Matte style. This palette is really good for building up colour as you can add little bits at a time and it blends in really well together.
All over
Once I had the first layer of colour on I went lightly all over with this orange/red colour which brightened it up a little bit. To do this I used the real techniques shadow brush as it’s good for blending colours together and packs on the shadow evenly.
Outer third
The next colour I used was a bit bolder, it is a Beautiful bright red. I only had to use very small amounts of this as it’s so pigmented! I used a brush I bought from TK MAXX it’s a bit flatter than the real techniques shadow brush so found it good for placing the colour exactly where I wanted it. I put this colour on the outer third of my eye and then tied it in by bringing it across the top of my eyelid to help it blend well.
Glitter
Before adding the sparkles I went over my lid with concealer in the places where i would be adding the glitter shadows. After blending that out i went in with one of the darkest glitters in this pallet, it is a lovely purple shade with red tones i thought it would go really well with the red. The glitters in this palette are really pigmented, to get the best out of it i use my finger to apply them.
Inner corners
To brighten my inner corners up I added a light pink glitter shade and blended it in with the darker glitter, this created a ombre effect which i really like. I think adding the pop of colour into the inner corners really helps to complete the look.
Touching Up
After finishing up with the glitters I went over with a soft blending brush and made sure to brush over any harsh lines to bring the look together. The finishing touch is definitely going around the outside of the eye with a makeup wipe and then adding a little bit of concealer to make the lines look sharp.
That’s all for today, I really hope you enjoyed reading and let me know what you think about this look in the comments!
What colour will you be wearing on your eyes this valentines day?
Thanks for reading 🙂
