Hello lovelies,
Today I wanted to do an outfit of the day. I haven’t actually done one of these posts on my blog yet so this is a first.
My boyfriend and I went out to the cinema today so I wanted to dress smart/casual. We had a lovely meal before hand and then we went to watch Captain Marvel, my boyfriend is a big fan of Marvel so this film was a “must see”. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend.
For the top I am wearing this lovely shirt by Micheal Kors, I love how bold the stripes are. I love the quality of the material this shirt was made from, its 100% cotton so is really breathable. On all of the buttons there is a little MK Logo and they’re all metal so the quality of the buttons is really good and they feel really sturdy. When this shirt is untucked it is quite long so I tent to either tuck it in or tie it up when I’m wearing it. I think this top adds a bit of class to an outfit, I don’t wear shirts very often so when I do I feel a lot smarter than usual haha!
For the jeans I am wearing this dark indigo blue pair from TopShop they are from the Jamie collection. I really love a good high waisted pair of jeans and I think they look great with the shirt. High waisted jeans seem suit me the best as they are tight and sinch in at the waist. The thing I love about these jeans are the belt loops, I normally purchase Joni jeans from TopShop but they don’t come with any belt loops and I love to add accessories such as belts to my outfits! These Jamie jeans are very much like the Joni style but the material is a little thicker and of course they have belt loops which is amazing.
In addition to the jeans I added this belt from newlook. I love the gold detailing on this belt as I think it really stands out when I wear it. I love how this belt looks with the jeans a top, I think it ties the two items together. In my opinion I think the gold detailing on the belt goes well the both the blue in the shirt and the jeans. I get so much wear out of this belt as I really think it can complete a look!
On my feet am I wearing Adidas Gazelles in a baby pink shade. I love these trainers so much, they are so comfortable and very wearable. Although they are trainers I do think that they are on more of the smarter side compared to some of ones I have for example Adidas superstars. I think this type of trainer goes well with the outfit and keeps it a little more casual. As these shoes are suede I tend to only wear them when the weather is nice, so I was glad to see the sun shining today! The baby pink colour of the trainers tie in with my makeup look and add more colour into the outfit.
For my hair today I went straight. I recently donated 12 inches to the little princess trust so I’m getting used to having short hair! It feels so different but as soon as I got it cut I could feel the difference, it felt so much lighter which I didn’t expect. As my hair is naturally curly I like to switch it up sometimes, so I decided to straighten it today also with it being cut it’s so much quicker to style!
For my makeup I went quite simple, as my outfit was blues and pink I went for a subtle eye look which I have created a tutorial for on my blog which you can check out here Peachy Eye Look. For this look I used the too faced chocolate bar palette. I wore a light tinted moisturiser, and for my lips I applied Velvet Teddy by Mac.
