Clarins ombré sparkle Review

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all well, today I wanted to talk about this gorgeous eyeshadow.

I purchased this whilst i was doing some christmas shopping a couple of weeks ago. I was having a look in Debenhams as they had a sale on most of their beauty products and perfumes.

Before this purchase i had never tried anything from Clarins before, but i knew they were a more high-end brand so was expecting it to be good. For christmas i also received a lip oil by clarins and have been loving it!

After having a look at all of the items on the counter i picked out this lovely rosey gold glitter shadow, there was also a true gold and navy blue shadows but i thought i would be more likely to wear the rose gold one.

Packaging

This product is a single shadow, going from using palettes for a few years it was funny to go back to a single pan eyeshadow. It’s an average size for a single shadow but I’ve learned a little goes a long way with this product. It comes in a little box which has the name and product description on the back.

Price

The price of this eyeshadow was £20 but as there was a sale on I paid £17. I would never normally pay so much especially for a single shadow, but with the sale and the fact it was Christmas when I brought it I decided to treat myself. After using it for a while I do think it’s worth it and if it did run out I think I would buy it again.

Colour

The colour is 102 PEACH GIRL in the Ombré Sparkle range, this colour is gorgeous. As I said before there were a few to choose from but I thought this one was most suited to me. It’s a rosey gold and it’s packed full with glitter.

The colour pay off is amazing too, you only need one or two swipes and you’re done! The colour is very pigmented and it fully opaque once you’ve put it on your eyelid. I think this colour looks lovely with warm orangy brown tones.

Texture

As it says on the back of the box it gives a mirror finish as it’s so glittery! It’s not clumpy at all when you put it on the eyes it swipes on like a powder and you’re left with a beautiful rosey gold glittery eyelid!

I was worried about whether the glitter would irritate my eyes as I’ve had this before with other glitter products, I had no irritation at all you could forget you’re wearing it until you look in the mirror!

Longevity

As this product is a powder eyeshadow with a glitter finish, once you apply it the eyeshadow stays on your eyes until you’re ready to take it off.

When I have used it there has been a little bit of fall out but with a glitter I expected it so wasn’t put off by that. I would always use a primer with this type of shadow as it should help to prevent fall out and make it last all day/night long!

Final Thoughts

Overall I think this eyeshadow is lovely, the colour is amazing and it lasts so long on the eyes.

It does have a pretty hefty price tag for the size of it, as I have said this product will last you a very long time as you don’t need much product for a great pay off.

The fact it doesn’t give my eyes an irritation and paired with how pigmented it is makes it worth it for me.

I think I will be purchasing some more colours in the future.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite eyeshadow is, whether it’s a palette or single pan!

Thanks for reading 🙂
